Eid badges: Shop for charity

Last Ramadan, I launched a project where I designed Ramadan & Eid badges and sold them on the blog to raise money for charity! I didn’t expect to make much because as a new blogger, I have a small following, but Alhamdullilah we were able to raise £250 for Human Appeal’s Born in Crisis and Yemen Crisis appeals. I was thrilled to have been able to do something fun, particularly for children, and help organisations that are working on the ground with those suffering as a result of conflict and I’m even more thrilled to be doing it again as we approach Eid ul Adha!

Where does the money from my purchase go?

These Eid badges are great for children of all ages to wear on Eid day. This time round, £1 from every sale will go to the Motherkind appeal run by Muslim Hands. Motherkind is Muslim Hands’ maternal health campaign to reduce the number of deaths and promote maternal and infant health. Their work includes facilitating training for midwives in Niger, running educational workshops in villages throughout India, and establishing specialised maternal health clinics in Afghanistan and Somalia. Read more about the success of the campaign thus far here.

You can purchase badges and donate more to the appeal if you’d like, or simply purchase the number you require. Every purchase will receive a confirmation of the donation once it has been made after Eid day.

More about the badges & your purchase

These are 38mm (1 and 1/2 inch) custom-printed button badges, perfectly sized for young and older children. They have steel pin backs (see photos below) that help you pin this to clothing safely.

Unfortunately, we are only able to dispatch to UK addresses at this time. However, if you live overseas, would like to purchase a large quantity and are happy to cover the cost of shipping, please get in touch!

Please note that the badges are dispatched via second class mail and will arrive within two to three working days (including Saturdays). We do have an express next-day option which you are able to select at checkout.

Give to wonderful causes and pop these little adorable Eid badges on your children, your nieces, your nephews, or even buy them as gifts for the little stars in your life. Thank you all for supporting the project – whether that is through purchases, donations, sharing across your social media or just telling friends and family about it – may Allah (SWT) reward you abundantly.

Forget kids I’d really like to have them for myself. Anyways I am not in UK so maybe next time. But MashAllah that cause is very unique and must require a lot of awareness. Keep up the good work sister.
